Update 19.05.2014 - EDM2014 Video Converter 3.0.1

Hello. Here is an bugfix update of the Video Converter tool. There was an error when users tried to drag/drop the first movie onto the program. It was looking for the needed library at the wrong place. This is now fixed. You can find it in our download page.

Update 16.05.2014 - Work Update

Hello. I have been working hard with the upcoming EDM2014 Audio Player. There is still a long way to go, but it slowly starts to take form. Below is a couple of previews so far. Click on images for full view.

This is the search engine part. It should be well known to users of EDM2013 Mediacenter.

This is a part of the settings in the new player. As the old EDM2013 Mediacenter it uses WASAPI for best possible quality.

Here a image from the Playlist part. There will be lots of changes here. But all the basics are up and running.

Just a code snippet from the work on the upcoming Player.

I cant really say when this will be finished, but probably an Alpha version will be available at the end of this month. If you are interested in testing this player before the final release just send me an email, and I will make sure you get the test version and a list of what I do need tested out.

OK, have a nice weekend everyone and keep an eye up for updates.

Update 08.05.2014 - EDM2014 Video v.3.0.9

As promised here is the updated version. Changes is that the playlist has a few more options, and it also supports drag/drop. There is also a bug fix with the recent played movies linking where a filter setting was missing, resulting in lower quality playback than usual. I know I promised a adjustable buffer settings for url playback in this version, but I have to wait with that part. The reason is that I do need to do a complete rewrite of that part of the code. The upside of this is that there will be a lot of new options regarding ftp and http streaming. It is already under construction, but needs a lot of testing before release. Hopefully it will be ready within a month from now.

As usual, keep telling peoples about this site, and suggest this site on FB to friends and family :-) You can find the updated player on the Download page.

Have a nice day!

Update 07.05.2014 - Work update

Tomorrow I will release an update of the EDM2014 Video Player. This is a minor update with a few changes to the playlist part and a couple of bug fixes. Users who dont use the playlist option should still download this update as a bug with the last played movie link is fixed. The bug has to do with the filter setup of the video on startup. Nothing serious, but still....

The work with the new audio player goes well, and it is starting to take form. There is still a long way to go, and lots of work to be done, but it is starting to look good.

Yesterday one of my computers crashed. This is the second time a power supply catches fire, and both times it was a Corsair power supply. This is the last time I ever gonna use this brand. It is unsafe, Both times the computers was in idle mode and that is a bit scary. If you leave your house for a couple of hours, make sure to turn of the computer before you leave.

Ok, thats all for today. Have a nice day!

Update 01.05.2014 - Work update

I have done a few updates to the EDM2014 Video regarding things I mentioned in last post. Also been working a lot with the new Audio Player. As it is now I cant say how long it will take before it is ready, but hopefully I will get it up and running within a month from now. I can already play music with it, but it is a complex software and it is hard to get it all working as I want it to.

The last couple of days I have had some trouble with the network on my work computer, and that has resulted in quite a few hours trying to fix it. So I am happy to say everything now works perfectly again. I will post some updates regarding the audio player to keep you updated on the work, and also release version 3.0.9 of the video player within a week from now. The update contains a drag/drop support for the playlist as well as adjustable buffer size when streaming video. If I get the time it will also add some audio sync methods to the player.

Have a nice day!

Update 27.04.2014 - Work update

Well, the update is done, and I should now be concentrating on the Audio player part. Still, I know I said that there would not be any more updates of the video player before next tool was out. I regret saying that. Been using the player with the new playlist, and thought it was a bit unfinished. I have also been thinking about keeping a few but important features from the EDM2013 inside the videoplayer, that is if I can get it to work without loosing any speed of the current player. Have already added drag/drop support to the playlist, but need to do some more work regarding the file formats the user adds. Its ready for the movies part, so now I am working with the audio and picture parts. Besides added option to delete a list item, or a whole playlist, and a few other things.

It is nice to see the rank of easy-data.no still is climbing. Now it has a world rank of 212,376 and rank 378 in Norway. Keep telling peoples about this site, and suggest this site on FB to friends and family :-)

Have a nice day!

Update 24.04.2014 - EDM2014 Video v.3.0.8

Ok, new update of the player again. Whats new in this version is playlist support. You can now add movies, pictures or audio files to the playlist. For audio playback I would still recomend using the EDM2013 Mediacenter reasoned Wasapi support that this player does not support. The new EDM2014 Audio Player will have this support and the option to playback audio files with EDM2014 Video is far from the quality you can expect from the upcoming audio player.

Other news in this update is that the GUI (graphical user interface) is better than ever before, and the use of smartblur filter is now selectable, and not locked as in last version. It is still set as default, but you have the option to turn it of. I thought I would add some more filtering options to this update, but it is to early to do that yet. I need some time to learn more about FFMPEG and filtering options before I add more filters. I do need to keep the player as easy to use as possible, and I think adding lots of filter options now would make the player harder to use for most peoples. So until I can deliver a kind of filter system that is easy to understand and use, this options will have to wait. If you as a user really need this option right now, just send me an email, and I will try to create a beta version that suits your spesific needs. Adding a playlist option to the player was a bit more work than I thought it should be, Had to do quite a lot of changes to the player, so there may be a bug or two. If you should find any errors please let me know so I can correct it as soon as possible.

You can find the updated version on my download page. Have a nice day!

News 21.04.2014 - Video Player

I am still working on the Video Player. Cant quite stop fine tuning settings. The Smartblur filter is changed from beeing standard to be selectable. It will still be on as default, but the user has an option to turn it of. Also done some changes to the option panel. So now it is on its own movable form. There will be a few new filters available, and they will probably be adjustable in a low level way. I have noticed that some peoples want the player to have a playlist option. This is something I did not want to add to the current player, but if peoples want it..... I will make it.

This update will be the last one on the video player before the next 2014 tool is released.

This site is starting to do good, and the alexa rank is better than ever before. Today Easy-Data.no is ranked at 240,186 in the world and rank in Norway is 452. So it seems peoples starting to see our tools and like them. So, keep telling your friends about us and I will do my best to deliver great freeware for all of you.

The EDM2014 Video version 3.08 will be released within a week from now.

Have a nice day!

On my mind 18.04.2014 - Frame Rate

Yesterday I was visiting a friend when we started to talk about video and framerate. When coming home I could not quite stop thinking about the different frame rates used in movies, computer games etc. So I found some information on Wikipedia that I thought I would share here. For the whole article you can go here. The list below is for digital video and television:

There are three main frame rate standards in the TV and digital cinema business: 24p, 25p, and 30p. However, there are many variations on these as well as newer emerging standards.

  • 24p is a progressive format and is now widely adopted by those planning on transferring a video signal to film. Film and video makers use 24p even if they are not going to transfer their productions to film, simply because of the on-screen "look" of the (low) frame rate, which matches native film. When transferred to NTSC television, the rate is effectively slowed to 23.976 FPS (24×1000÷1001 to be exact), and when transferred to PAL or SECAM it is sped up to 25 FPS. 35 mm movie cameras use a standard exposure rate of 24 FPS, though many cameras offer rates of 23.976 FPS for NTSC television and 25 FPS for PAL/SECAM. The 24 FPS rate became the de facto standard for sound motion pictures in the mid-1920s. Practically all hand-drawn animation is designed to be played at 24 FPS. Actually hand-drawing 24 unique frames per second ("1's") is costly. Even in big budget films, usually hand-draw animation is done shooting on "2's" (one hand-drawn frame is shown twice, so only 12 unique frames per second)[10] and some animation is even drawn on "4's" (one hand-drawn frame is shown four times, so only six unique frames per second).
  • 25p is a progressive format and runs 25 progressive frames per second. This frame rate derives from the PAL television standard of 50i (or 50 interlaced fields per second). Film and Television companies use this rate in 50 Hz regions for direct compatibility with television field and frame rates. Conversion for 60 Hz countries is enabled by slowing down the media to 24p then converting to 60 Hz systems using pulldown. While 25p captures half the temporal resolution or motion that normal 50i PAL registers, it yields a higher vertical spatial resolution per frame. Like 24p, 25p is often used to achieve "cine"-look, albeit with virtually the same motion artifacts. It is also better suited to progressive-scan output (e.g., on LCD displays, computer monitors and projectors) because the interlacing is absent.
  • 30p is a progressive format and produces video at 30 frames per second. Progressive (noninterlaced) scanning mimics a film camera's frame-by-frame image capture. The effects of inter-frame judder are less noticeable than 24p yet retains a cinematic-like appearance. Shooting video in 30p mode gives no interlace artifacts but can introduce judder on image movement and on some camera pans. The widescreen film process Todd-AO used this frame rate in 1954–1956.
  • 48p is a progressive format and is currently being trialed in the film industry. At twice the traditional rate of 24p, this frame rate attempts to reduce motion blur and flicker found in films. Director James Cameron stated his intention to film the two sequels to his film Avatar higher than 24 frames per second to add a heightened sense of reality. The first film to be filmed at 48 FPS was The Hobbit, a decision made by its director Peter Jackson. At a preview screening at CinemaCon, the audience's reaction was mixed after being shown some of the film's footage at 48p, with some arguing that the feel of the footage was too lifelike (thus breaking the suspension of disbelief).
  • 50i is an interlaced format and is the standard video field rate per second for PAL and SECAM television.
  • 60i is an interlaced format and is the standard video field rate per second for NTSC television (e.g., in the US), whether from a broadcast signal, DVD, or home camcorder. This interlaced field rate was developed separately by Farnsworth and Zworykin in 1934,and was part of the NTSC television standards mandated by the FCC in 1941. When NTSC color was introduced in 1953, the older rate of 60 fields per second was reduced by a factor of 1000/1001 to avoid interference between the chroma subcarrier and the broadcast sound carrier. (Hence the usual designation "29.97 fps" = 30 frames (60 fields)/1.001)
  • 50p/60p is a progressive format and is used in high-end HDTV systems. While it is not technically part of the ATSC or DVB broadcast standards yet, reports suggest that higher progressive frame rates will be a feature of the next-generation high-definition television broadcast standards. In Europe, the EBU considers 1080p50 the next step future proof system for TV broadcasts and is encouraging broadcasters to upgrade their equipment for the future.
  • 72p is a progressive format and is currently in experimental stages. Major institutions such as Snell have demonstrated 720p72 pictures as a result of earlier analogue experiments, where 768 line television at 75 FPS looked subjectively better than 1150 line 50 FPS progressive pictures with higher shutter speeds available (and a corresponding lower data rate).Modern cameras such as the Red One can use this frame rate to produce slow motion replays at 24 FPS. Douglas Trumbull, who undertook experiments with different frame rates that led to the Showscan film format, found that emotional impact peaked at 72 FPS for viewers.[citation needed] 72 FPS is the maximum rate available in the WMV video file format.
  • 120p (120.00 Hz exactly) is a progressive format and is standardized for UHDTV by the ITU-R BT.2020 recommendation. It will be the single global "double-precision" frame rate for UHDTV (instead of using 100 Hz for PAL-based countries and 119.88 Hz for NTSC-based countries).
  • 300 FPS, interpolated 300 FPS along with other high frame rates, have been tested by BBC Research for use in sports broadcasts.300 FPS can be converted to both 50 and 60 FPS transmission formats without major issues.

For those of you (like me) who wonder what Judder really means I found a rather nice explanation about it here Another nice blog article explains the difference between Progressive and Interlaced video. You can read it here.

Well, thats all for now. Have a nice day!

News 15.04.2014 VIDEO QUALITY

As I have stated with the latest update of EDM2014 Video, the image quality is improved, and are better than most other players. In case you do not believe me I want to show you a few tests.

Windows Mediaplayer vs EDM2014 Video

Windows Mediaplayer vs EDM2014 Video (Click image to enlarge)

VLC vs EDM2014 Video

VLC VS EDM2014 Video (Click image to enlarge)

The above video is tested up against Microsoft Mediaplayer, VLC player and EDM2014 Video. I could have used any videofile, and this is just a random test. Actually what troubles me with this proof is that here I am, all alone in developing this video player, still it produces better quality than the whole bunch of developers at Microsoft or at VLC are able to. What the f****'k is going on? You should expect those to deliver the best possible quality, and not be beaten by a single geek in Norway. I rest my case!

News 15.04.2014

As you may have noticed there have been a few changes in the web pages the last days. I have neglected this part for way to long and need to use a few days to get it work properly. I have also hired some help from a company that will take a closer look at some of my tools to help me get them even better. A good thing is that this site is finally starting to climb in rank. Just a few weeks ago it had a rank at 2000000, now its 346000, meaning the trafic is starting to show.

I am really pleased with the last update of EDM2014 Video. The player is better than ever before, and I really think you will have problems finding a better video player anywhere. Still, there is one update to be posted in the near future. I want to add the option to select video filters and settings for those. Both predefined filters, and user selectable values to those filters. This is really a simple task to do, so it will probably be finished later today. Anyway, I will wait until I get the report back from the company testing this tool to see if they have some suggestions/corrections to the player before posting yet another update.

I have also been looking at the option to playback DVD and Blue-Ray movies with this player. But I will probably not add such functions. The EDM2014 Video is ment to be a player to playback video files on a computer, and really, who is watching their blur-ray movies on a computer screen? Well, for sure I dont, and neither is anyone i know. So why bother? I think it is more important to keep the player as lightweight and stable as possible, providing peoples the best possible way to watch a videofile without any hazzle. All in all, EDM2014 Video supports way over 20 video formats right out of the box.

Remember to tell your friends about the player, and if you do like our work, consider a little donation to support further developement. Have a nice day!

News 10.04.2014 EDM2014 Video v.3.0.7

OK, yet again there is an update of the player. I think most bugs are history now, and the video quality is better than ever before. Yesterday evening/night we did a pretty comprehensive test to test out the new video quality settings. In every video we did test the picture quality was much better. We tested over 100 videos in all kind of resolutions/formats. We did the test with the old, and new version side by side, and also tested it up against several other mediaplayers, and there is no doubt. So today I am really happy:-)

For a list of other changes see yesterdays post below. This update is a major update and should be downloaded by all users. Oh, just a reminder to all users. Please tell your friends about this player :-)

Have a nice day!

News 09.04.2014 Work update.

Hello, back to multimedia programming again. The next update of the EDM2014 Video has a few bug fixes and a major quality enhancement. The bug fixes finished so far is:

Fixed bug with crash when reopening the debug window more than once.
(I did free a bitmap on form close rather than on form destroy).
Also set the debug window to stay on top and to be movable. (As it where, it could be hiding behind main window).

Subtitle option window is changed to be more user friendly, subtitle placement is now much more adjustable, and in most cases the player adjust the subtitle size according to resolution on video. The trouble with the subtitle settings window in fullscreen mode is also gone now.

I am also happy to say that the playback quality is enhanced. This is accomplished by the use of FFMPEG Smartblur filter. As it is now, the filter is set by me, and is not adjustable, but I am working to let the users select videofilters themselves. To see the difference between the old and new version, just try to load the same movie in both versions of the player, and I think you get my point :-) You can easely start several players at once. The player will be updated tomorrow.

Have a nice day! (NB!) I do finally have a Facebook page. Visit me here.

News 07.04.2014 Work update.

Hello, the last week I have been troubled with pneumonia. As a result I have not been able to do much work. The only advantage is that I have had lots of time testing the videoplayer part. And the subtitle part is really lousy when looking into it. I do normally dont use subtitles myself, so I have to admit that part has not bothered me at all. When a friend pointed out a few problems with it I started looking into it again. So, today (finally feeling a bit better) I have done quite a lot of changes regarding the subtitle settings part, and it seems most of the trouble now is history.

I will have to do some more tests before releasing an update, but there will be within this week. I am really sorry for this, but as stated many times before, I do all work myself, and it is pretty hard to get everything right at first try. That is one of the reasons every application listed is freeware.

The upcomming tool Computer Geek is also finished pretty soon. And within a couple of days a full description will be posted. The Audio player will not be released yet. I do need at least a couple of months to get it ready.

Finally I have to suggest a movie I did watch yesterday. It is absolutely the best young actor performance I have ever seen. The name of the movie is Mud. You can read about it here.

Have a nice day!

News 31.03.2014 Update EDM2014 Video v.3.0.6

This updated version has two new functions.

1.

I have added drag/drop support for subtitle files packed with .rar or .zip. That means when downloading a subtitle file, all you have to do is to drag it over the player and release. EDM2014 Video will unpack the subtitle file, make sure it gets the same name as the movie, and save it into the movie folder. Finally the player will restart the movie with the new subtitles loaded. The default subtitle settings is also changed a bit.

2.

EDM2014 Video - Torrent searcher

From the main popup menu you can now search for torrents on the Piratebay site. You can also see the top 100: Audio, Video or Application torrents on the site. Double clicking a search result takes you directly to the download page of the selected torrent. So there is no magic, just a nice tool to quick search and download. As far as i know EDM2014 Video is the only mediaplayer with this function.

3.

Yes, i remember last post :-), I am still working on the audio player part, but i have also been working on another project soon to be released. A tool called "Computer Geek" It is just a few system and networking tools I need for private use, but thought I might as well release to the public. A preview wil be posted later this week.

Have a nice day!

News 24.03.2014 Work Update

OK, time to start with the next tool. This time it will be a new standalone version of EDM2014 Audio Player. This part is quite big and complex, so it will take some time to finish. As the users of EDM2013 are aware of, this tool uses wasapi and floating channels to get the best possible sound quality. This aint no Spotify! This tool is for those of you wanting the absolute best sound quality like what you get with .flac files. To get the best experience I strongly advice you to get a DAC, or at least a soundcard of high quality. Anyway, I will post updates along the developement of this tool. Probably there will also be released some tests for those of you wanting to try.

Oh, i almost forgot. There will be an update of the videoplayer real soon. Before I release this update I will look into the option of playback .iso files directly without mounting them first. As it is now some .iso files work, some dont. So I am going to do a few tests.

News 22.03.2014 Work Update

Today I have spread the Microburner around on the web. It is the old 6.0 version, and nothing is new to it. Since this was a tool I did sell, I have added a license file to the download. If the Microburner say it does not find a license file on startup, just restart it once, and it will be registered. You can read about it here

News 22.02.2014 EDM2014 Video Converter Released

Part 2 of EDM2014 is ready for release. This time it is the Video Converter part. Just as the video player part this is also a standalone application with its own installer. You can read more about it here, or download it from this page.

News 18.02.2014 Work Update

I am working on the next part of EDM2014. This time it is the video converter. So far everything looks good. The gui part is the biggest change from the converter used in EDM2013, but it is also going to be more easy to use and with full drag/drop support. I dont know exactly when it is ready for release, but i hope within a week or two. I will post some images of the work so far within a couple of days.

News 15.02.2014 EDM2014 Video Released

As previous mentioned the new EDM2014 will be released bit by bit starting with the video player part called EDM2014 Video.

The main changes in the video player is that it is extremely fast, smaller gui to be more fitted to normal computer screens, and that everything works and feel much smoother than last release. New functions like speeding up or slowing down playback is added and pretty much all code has been rewritten to get a better userinterface. There is also added install and uninstall option.

This release is really a standalone video player that does nothing else than playback video files. No converting options or anything else. As previously mentioned each bit of EDM2013 will be standalone from now on, yet there will be a main menu to control every part of the new tools. This main part will not be released quite yet as there is a lot of work to be done before the final product is ready. Until then, if you want a really fast and reliable videoplayer do download and try the new EDM2014 Video.

Main features:

  1. Extremely fast loading.
  2. Play all well known video formats out of the box. No codecs needed.
  3. Subtitle support. Subtitle search.
  4. Low CPU and memory usage.
  5. Create single snapshots or snaps from the whole movie.
  6. Get indepht video info and decoder.
  7. Lots of adjustments options.
  8. Its completely freeware without any addware.

News 19.03.2014 Work Update

The AV merger will take some time to finish. I wanted a couple of new features to it that forced me to start from scratch again. I thought I would manage to just add those functions, but it was impossible. Well, not impossible, but you had to be a rocket scientist to manage to get it all working. And that is not the way a tool like this should be. Therefor I dumped all the work with the AV merger and started all over again. The good news is that there will be a lot more options, and the tool itself will be more usefull for everyone. You will for example have the option to merge a video file with several audio streams, or to add a long audiotrack to the video by joining several audio files. So in a way this tool is going to be both a audio/video merger and audio/video joiner. The programming itself is not the problem now. I do strugle to get the GUI (graphical user interface) looking good and understandable.

Ok, that was todays update. Finnihing of with a couple more jokes:

1.

After being married for thirty years, a wife asked her husband to describe her.
He looked at her for a while, then said,
"You're A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, J, K."
She asks.... "What does that mean?"
He said, "Adorable, Beautiful, Cute, Delightful, Elegant, Foxy, Gorgeous, Hot."
She smiled happily and said... "Oh, that's so lovely... What about I, J, K?"
He said, "I'm Just Kidding!"

The swelling in his eye is going down and the doctor is fairly optimistic about
saving his family jewels.

2.

Those Three Words:
If someone says " I love you" and you don't feel the same way,
just say "I love YouTube" really fast.

News 17.03.2014 Funny Update

Still working with AV Merger. And it is much more work than I thought. I have it up and working, but far from finished. This week I have been cleaning up stuff on all my computers, and did stumble upon a few jokes I have gathered over the years. Just for the fun of it I will post some of them:

1.

A kid comes home from school and says to his mom, "Mom I've got a problem."
She says "Tell me." He tells her that the boys at school are using 2 words he doesn't understand.
She asks him what they are. He says "well, pussy and bitch". She says "Oh that's no big deal,
pussy is a cat like our little Mittens, and bitch is a female dog like our Sandy."
He thanks her and goes to visit dad in the workshop in the basement. He says to his dad,
"Dad, the boys at school are using words I don't know, and I asked mom and I don't think she told me the exact meaning.
Dad says "Son, I told you never to go to mom with these matters, she can't handle them. What are the words?"
He tells him...pussy and bitch.
Dad says "OK" and pulls a Playboy down from the shelf, takes a marker and circles the pubic area of the centerfold and says, "son, everything inside this circle, is pussy."
"OK, dad, so what's a bitch?"
"Son" he says, "everything outside that circle."

2.

Three guys got drunk and went to sleep in the same bed. They woke next morning. The guy on the left said "I had a dream that someone was holdin my dick!",
the guy on the right said "me too", the guy in the the middle said "I had a dream I was skiing"

3.

There were two twenty year old guys, one on one side of the world and the other on the other side of the world.
One of the guys is walking a tight rope between two tall buildings. The other is getting a head job from an 80 year old woman.
Whats the moral to the story? Don't look down!!

4.

A young couple got married, and on their first night in their new home, the husband said, "Sweetheart, we should set up some sort of a signaling system regarding sex.
When we go to bed at night, if you want sex, just reach over and pull my penis twice."
The wife said, "Fine, but what do I do if I don't want sex?"
The husband said, "Then reach over and pull my penis fifty or sixty times."

5.

Two old pensioners are taking a trip down memory lane by going back to the place where they first met.

Sitting at a café, the little old man says, "Remember the first time I met you over 50 years ago? We left this cafe, went round the corner behind the gas works, and I gave you one from behind."

"Why, yes, I remember it well, dear," replies the little old lady with a grin.

"Well, for old time's sake, let's go there again. and I'll give you one from behind."

The two pensioners pay their bill and leave the cafe. A young man sitting next to them has overheard the conversation and smiles to himself,
thinking it would be quite amusing to see two old pensioners at it. He gets up and follows them. Sure enough, he sees the two pensioners near the gas works.
The little old lady pulls off her knickers and lifts up her dress.

The old man pulls down his pants and grabs the lady's hips, and the little old lady reaches for the fence. Well, what follows is 40 minutes of the most athletic sex the man has ever seen.
The little old man is banging away at the little old woman at a pace that can only be described as phenomenal. Limbs are flying everywhere, the movement is a blur, and they do not stop for a single second.
Finally, they collapse and don't move for an hour.
Well, the man is stunned. Never in his life has he ever seen anything that equates to this - not in the movies, not from his friends, not from his own experiences.
Reflecting on what he has just seen, he says to himself, "I have to know his secret. If only I could shag like that now, let alone in 50 years' time!"
The two old pensioners have by this time recovered and dressed themselves. Plucking up courage, the man approaches the pensioner.
He says, "Sir, in all my life I have never seen anybody shag like that, particularly at your age. What's your secret? Could you shag like that 50 years ago?"
The pensioner replies, "Son, 50 years ago, that fucking fence wasn't electrified".

6.

EVER WONDER..

...why doctors call what they do "practice"?
...why you have to click on "Start" to stop Windows?
...why lemon juice is made with artificial flavour, while dishwashing liquid is made with real lemons?
...why the man who invests all your money is called a broker?
...why there isn't mouse-flavored cat food?
...who tastes dog food when it has a "new &improved" flavor?
...why Noah didn't swat those two mosquitoes?
...why they sterilize the needle for lethal injections?
...why they don't make the whole plane out of the material used for the indestructible black box ?
...why sheep don't shrink when it rains?
...why they are called apartments when they are all stuck together?
...if con is the opposite of pro, is Congress the opposite of progress?
...why they call the airport "the terminal" if flying is so safe?
...why the sun lightens our hair, but darkens our skin?
...why women can't put on mascara with their mouth closed?
...why you don't ever see the headline "Psychic Wins Lottery"?
...why "abbreviated" is such a long word?

Ok, the last one is a bit rude, but still quite fun.

7.

A young lady in the maternity ward just prior to labour is asked by the
midwife if she would like her husband to be present at the birth.
"I'm afraid I don't have a husband" she replies.
"O.K. Do you have a boyfriend?" asks the Midwife.
"No, no boyfriend either."
"Do you have a partner then?"
"No, I'm not attached; I'll be having my baby on my own."
After the birth the midwife again speaks to the young woman,
"You have a healthy bouncing baby girl, but I must warn you before you see
her that the baby is black".
"Well," replies the girl, "I was very down on my luck, with no money
and nowhere to live, and so I accepted a job in a porno movie.
The lead man was black."
"Oh, I'm very sorry," says the midwife, "that's really none of my
business and I'm sorry that I have to ask you these awkward questions
but I must also tell you that the baby has blonde hair."
"Well yes," the girl again replies, "you see the co-star in the movie was
this Swedish guy."
"Oh, I'm sorry," the midwife repeats, "that's really none of my business
either and I hate to pry further but your baby also has slanted eyes."
"Yes," continues the girl, "there was a little Chinese man also in the
movie, I really had no choice."
At this, the midwife again apologizes, collects the baby and presents
her to the girl, who immediately proceeds to give baby a slap on the butt.
The baby starts crying and the mother exclaims, "Thank god for that!"
"What do you mean?" says the midwife, shocked.
"Well," says the girl extremely relieved, "I had this horrible feeling that
it was going to bark."

Ok, this was all for now. Back to work!

News 14.03.2014 EDM2014 Video Update

As previous posted there was a bug with the video player. The bug was regarding the subtitle support. This is now fixed, and there is also added several new languages. Anyway, I suggest you do update to this version. The new version number is 3.0.2

Have a nice weekend :-)

News 13.03.2014 Work Update

I am working with the EDM2014 Audio/Video Merger now. Or at least I did work with that until I found a bug in the Video Player that needed to be fixed. It is the subtitle part thats not working as it should. I have fixed that part now, but since I have to release an update of the Video Player I thought i should add some new languages also. I am now finished adding: Norwegian, English, Italian, German and French. I still need a day or two to finish the installer part, but you can expect an update on friday this week.

The work with the A/V Merger is going just fine. There going to be a few changes since the last version. You can now add more than one audio file at each session, the output data is a little more readable, and there will be full drag/drop support. There is also many new presets regarding video quality. This tool will also be released with Norwegian, English, Italian, German and French.

News 08.03.2014 Work Update

Finally I have managed to get the adding of movies to the library much more easy for the users. It turned out to be a very simple change in code, and I am a bit frustrated over not notice it before now...

The get cover art part of the library has been a bit unstable, and it has upto now been nessesary to manualy drag images from imdb or google onto the program. This is still an option by the way. But now if you have the imdb link everything goes automaticly. This makes adding movies much faster than before. Notice that if there are none available cover art on imdb you still have to use google manually like before. It is impossible to get that part fully automatic cos there are so many results showing, and you do want the best quality cover, therefor this part will not change.

In last update i wrote that there was only some small things left. I must have been mad! I have done so many changes already, and i have a lot left to do. Several procedures has been highly improved, and also a lot on the GUI side. Just to mention it, I did thought the library was amazing when i wrote the last update. I really mean that. But i did get a few great ideas that turned out to be a lot more than i thought possible. I am also trying some translation tools on the EDM2014 Video Library. So first release will have the following languages: English, Norwegian, German, and French. I know the translator software is pretty bad, but if you do find a bad translation inside the program feel free to email me the correct translation.

News 26.02.2014 Work Update

The third part of EDM2014 is now under construction. This time it is the Video Library I am working on. Getting it standalone is a simple task. Whats not so simple is to get it more user friendly. And that is what I am working on now. First of all there will now be drag/drop support. In other words, just drag a movie to the library, and it will be added automaticly.

I am going to keep the old folder structure used in the 2013 version. So to add movies you need to have your movies like this:

What you need to do is to create a folder for each movie. The reason for this is that the folder for the movie also will include a text file pointing to the IMDB information for the movie, and also a movie cover (if available). Besides this is a good way of keeping your movies well organized, and easy to find.

When you are adding a movie the Video Library checks for the IMDB link and cover image inside the movie folder. If no IMDB link or cover is found, it just adds the basic movie info like filename, size, lenght etc. Still it is quite easy to get the rest of the needed information. Just select edit movie from the popup menu, then click the Open IMDB button enter the movie name and click search. When you have found the movie copy and paste the IMDB link from the browser to the IMDB link field in the prorgram, and finally click the button: Lookup IMDB. Just remember to save the library when done. One tricky thing is the cover art. It is not always found at IMDB. As standard the Video Library when no covers found adds a predefined cover art. Still you can get the right cover for the movie either by scanning it, or use google to search for the movie title and then select show Pictures in search result. When you have found the right cover, save it to the movie folder as a .jpg file and with the exact same name as the movie itself. The next time you load the slides in the Video Library the cover will show. The Video Library is now compatible with any video player on your system. When doubleclicking a movie it start the move in your systems prefered player.

The Video Library is up and running as it should so far, but I do need to work some more with it. One of the things I would like to get better is the loading time when going slide mode. When you just have a couple hundred movies its fast enough already, but when you have a library with several thousand movies the loading of cover thumbs is kind of slow. So I think I will have to make that loading in separate threads.

Ok, thats a short description on what I am working on right now. I dont know when it will be ready to release yet, but it should not take to long.

News 03.03.2014 Work Update

I am still working on the video library. As it is now, there is only some small things left before I am finished. That said, this tool will need to go throug several updates before I have what I want, but the first release will be fully functional, and later updates will be fully compatible with this version. With so many functions and lookups there is quite certain that bugs will appear.

Below is a couple of screenshots so far. Just note that there could be some gui changes before the release.

EDM2014 Video Library

This is the standard Slide mode in EDM2014 Video Library

EDM2014 Alternate Slide Mode

This is the Alternate (but much faster) Slide mode.

This is not quite finished, so there will be some gui changes to this part.

EDM2014 Video Library Search Engine

This is the Search Engine for automaticly adding of movies.

EDM2014 Video Library manual input

This is the manual input/edit window.

It seems likely that I will have it ready for release this week, but i wont promise. And as always, I would be happy for suggestions regarding the library.

News 26.01.2014 Work Update

Hi, as you may have noticed there has been a while since last update, and the site has been unavailable for a while also. Well now it is up and running again, and lots of things has happend since last update.

First of all the developement of version 3.0 has started. So far there is nothing quite ready to be published yet, but the videoplayer part is almost ready. I have used quite a lot of time inspecting most other mediaplayers around. I did read a story about the best multimediaplayer for 2014.

If the best player is the one with minimal use of ram and cpu usage as the article state, the new video player part of EDM beats the shit out of all the players tested. So that looks kind of promising. But you can try it out yourself, and compare when it is released.

It has been hard to figure out how I should create the 3.0 version with all the current tools without loss of speed and memory usage. What i am doing to solve this is to create each part of EDM as a standalone product, and rather a main menu to control everything, and make the parts work together. The result is promising.

Starting a .mkv movie at 6 gb from my network takes roughly 1.sec. Memory usage: 97 mb ram and cpu usage is 6%. This is on my computer. The results will be different regarding the computer specs.

Starting a .avi file at roughly 1 gb takes under 1 sec. uses 2% cpu and 45 mb ram. Both tests are done with the movie loaded from network and not direct load. Testing up against SM player that the article mentioned above as the player of the year shows that EDM starts faster, uses less cpu and ram, and much smoother when going Full/normal screen. SM player uses nearly 60 mb ram, used 2,5 secs to start and cpu usage is identical.

Another thing to look at is the size of the video window at startup. SM player shows a tiny window and thus uses less memory than several other players. Try to make the windows equaly big and SM player is suddenly not that good. The memory usage went from 86 mb to 149 mb just by going fullscreen. EDM used 20 mb less memory than SM player in fullscreen mode. My oppinion is anyway that this way of testing and finding the best player is useless. If a player uses 1/2 a second or 4 seconds to start a movie who does really care? And with the normal amount of ram in everyday computers who cares about the memory usage? Really....

What does matter more is the graphical user interface of the players, just take a look at the VLC player. In every test the past years it get complaints on the rather "old" look and feel. Or one of my own mistakes, the rather buggy fullscreen normal screen changes in EDM2013, or the fact that the userinterface was quite to big for most users. Those kind of things has way more to do with the difference between a good or an exelent player than those stupid ram/cpu usage comparrisons. 5 - 10 years ago, ok then it would matter. Today it does not mean anything! For my own part, i do care about it reasoned that i want to have the best player and thus need to concider all parts of the competition and make everything even better. As a normal user i would not care. I still think the old EDM2013 is fast enough and has acceptable ram/cpu usage. Still everything is redesigned from scratch in the new one. Just to make it a bit faster and lighter.

The major fault of the EDM2013 is the graphical userinterface. I dont like it, but even if i have been working as a graphic designer for years i cant seem to get it quite right. I think the new version looks much better already. I do use the same skin support, but has figured a way to speed up everything so that the look and feel gets much better.

I will create a download page for alpha and beta versions of the new tools so the ones interested can participate in the developement by hinting and tipping me about new or better ways to make the tool even better. If you think something is crap, then say so. If i dont get your oppinion I cant fix it. If you love every part of the tool, dont bother telling me, tell your friends instead.

And finally, if you are filthy rich and like my tools, please send me some money :-)

News 01.12.2013 Work Update

I have just ordered parts to what is to become my new work computer. It is a rather nice and fast, and with a new DAC also. The work of EDM2014 version 3.0 will start as soon as have the new computer up and running. There will still be a couple of updates to the current one first, but the new one is quite different in many ways. It will be lightning fast, every part of the mediacenter will get its own engine, there will also be several new tools, and heavy improvements on other.

It will also change in look and feel. The current version is mainly made for use on large screens and tv's. The new will be more like a middle way that can be used by all sizes of screens. The whole program will be made by parts, so as soon as one tool is finished it will be released. I am starting with the Video player part first and then the audio and with the coresponding libraries and playlists for both.

The result will be a tool with all the options you have today + lots more like CD/DVD burner Audiomixer etc. But with extreme low memory and cpu usage, and lightening fast in use. All current libraries will be fully supported in the new version. And finally, it is still completely freeware. Its time to say hello to the big guys!

News 25.11.2013 EDM2013 v.2.3.6.0 Update

I am sorry for the delay in this update. The skin update gave me a bit of trouble, but now it seems to be working as it should. Besides the skin component update I have done some small changes to the gui of the program. Anyway, this update is to be seen as a minor update. If you dont have had any trouble with the skins before there is not really any need to update to this version. But if you have an older version than 2.3.5.2 you should update reasoned the new addon released in that version.

News 20.11.2013 Work Update

Good news. It seems the skin trouble is history. I have been testing the new skins components the last couple of days and are no longer able to get the errors I have been talking about. The scary thing here is that I still dont know exactly what caused it, or what I did to fix it. Well, I do know what i have done, but I cant see how those changes fixed the trouble. But all the errors is gone now. I still need a day or two to find out what the sollution was, and how I did get there before updating.

As a side project I am working on a page that will have video examples of the use of Easy-Data Mediacenter, and some tips and help on how to work with the tools on my site.

Finally, a suggestion for those of you that like watching good TV-series. The Blacklist, and The Fall is two really cool series you should try out. You can find some more info here:

The Blacklist

The Fall

If all goes as planned there will be an update of EDM2013 out tomorrow.

News 18.11.2013 Work Update

Ok, now i have changed the skins to the newest version, but the problem is still here. I am trying to work out a sollution, but it is quite hard to find the reason why the skins suddenly dissapears. I will continue to look for a sollution, but it may take a few days more. I will get back when i know a little bit more.

News 15.11.2013 Work Update

I really havent done as much as i wanted to the last couple of days. I am watching the World championship in chess. And somehow i find myself playing chess on the computer rather than continuing the work lol. I am easely carried away. Well, tomorrow i am going to do the updates of the skins. (after the chess game) And I will let you know how it works out as a start tomorrow night.

News 13.11.2013 Work Update

Those of you following what I write here may remember I have talked about all the trouble I have had with the skins components I have been using on EDM2013. Well, now I have got a major update of the skins, so hopefully that nightmare is over. Today I have started upgrading the skins, and going to use a couple of days testing and try to make everything a bit better than before. The trouble with the skins has been that suddenly without any reasonable explanations the skin used has just gone white, and messed up the program. Refreshing the skins has not helped at all, just by selecting another skin than the one used the problem is solved (for a while). I will post a message on how the testing goes in a couple of days. Another thing I am working on is that the screencapture tool (and some of the other tools) wont start recording if you have played a video file first. To get it working again a restart of the EDM2013 has been required. I think I am close to a sollution, but we have to see if it works out allright.

News 12.11.2013 EDM2013 v.2.3.5.2 Update

Today there is a new update with a new addon to EDM2013. The Batch File Renamer Tool. Besides this new addon the EDM2013 now autodetects if there is a screensaver enabled when starting a video file, and gives you the choise of deactivating the screensaver. There is also some minor bug fixing. The Renaming tool is useful if you need to rename lots of files. E.g Pictures. You can find the tool under the Addon part of the main popup menu. This tool is also a standalone tool that can be downloaded as a single file from our download page. But from now on the tool is in the EDM2013 package, so there is no need to download both.

News 11.11.2013 Work update

I have just finished a new addon to EDM2013. As usual this tool is both an addon to EDM2013 and capable of beeing a standalone tool at the same time. It is a Batch file renaming tool like the one that was in the old EDM. So, tomorrow there will be a new release of this tool, and an update of EDM2013. For those of you downloading the updated EDM2013 the tool is in the package so there is no need to download both. Besides the addon there is a few improvements to the EDM2013 tools also, but you can read more about that when it is updated. Below is a picture of the new addon.

News 05.11.2013 Work update

This week I am working online to try to make EDM2013 more known to peoples worldwide. Without using lots of money this is a pretty hard task. Since the release a couple of months ago Easy-Data Mediacenter is downloaded roughly 150000 times. It is listed on lots of shareware/freeware places around the net, but it still need more visibility. If you have a website and like our tools, feel free to create a link to us.

Another thing I have noticed is that some peoples think EDM2013 works on windows XP. I think the reason for this is that the old mediaplayer did support XP, and some of the shareware/freeware sites has just updated the program without updating the specs. EDM2013 uses wasapi. Wasapi was introduced by microsoft with Windows Vista. So XP does not support wasapi. I need to use wasapi to get the best audio quality, and will not go back to the old system.

If you use Windows XP, download the old player instead. If you want the sound to be exellent, upgrade to Windows Vista or higher. Another thing is that some peoples write on forums around what they would want the program to be capable of doing, and/or bug reports. It would be a bit better so send me an email asking, instead of me having to search through every forum i can find regarding EDM2013. If I get emails with suggestions, corrections or wishes, they will be heard, and i will do my best to get it as the users want it to be. Without emails its hard to fix what i do not know. So please, address the suggestions to the right place :-)

News 30.10.2013 EDM2013 v.2.3.5.1 Update

I am really sorry, but there was an error with last update. The subtitle part of the program resulted in several errors when exiting the program after playing a video file. This is now corrected. It was an VideoHook error for the subtitles that did go wrong.

News 28.10.2013 EDM2013 v.2.3.5 Update

Well, it took some time, but now .srt subtitles are supported in the video player. As it is right now the .srt file must have exactly the same name as the video file (exept the extension). From the popup menu External Subtitle Setting, you can select font type, font size, color and spacing (placement). I think I am going to make some changes to this later on, but it will stay as it is for a while until i figure out the best settings.

Easy-Data Mediacenter (subtitle settings)

I am now continuing to work with the sync of audio and a few improvements on some of the tools. So stay tuned and try out the new subtitle part. Remember you can search and download subtitles from within EDM2013 after loading a movie. (The movie has to be restarted after adding a subtitle text file reasoned EDM2013 loads the subtitles when loading the movie.)

News 25.10.2013 Work Update

I am still working on the external subtitle part of the video player. The good news is that I have managed to get it to work the way I want it to, but still needs a bit of tuning before it is finished. I will also have to add a subtitle font/size/color/placement/sync setting, so there may be an update without the settings page finished. I am thinking about making several of the tools drag and drop + more graphical view of the files in use. From now of I am going to use 2-3 days a week on the new Microburner. I hope to get it finished by early next year.

News 22.10.2013 Easy-Data LogIt v. 1.0 Release

Today I release a completly new tool that's not a multimedia tool. I needed a monitoring tool to keep track of our children's use of our computers, and since I had to make it I decided to put it on the site for everyone that may need something similar. It is a tool that logs browser use, keystrokes, monitors file and folder changes, take screen shots at predefined intervals and capture web cam and/or audio. It is freeware, and easy to use. To read more about it click here.

Easy-Data LogIt

Other news is that I am working on a couple of EDM2013 tools. The Video Player and subtitle options, and a couple of new options to the picture to video tool. The subtitle part is quite a lot of work, so i don't think it will be ready for at least a week from now. But I will keep you updated.

News 16.10.2013 EDM2013 v. 2.3 Update!

Today I release version 2.3 of EDM2013. New in this version is the Add on - DVD Duplicator. The add on can be found under main popup menu. I have also added a thumbnail creator of movies for the Video Play list, and a frame selection tool to the Screen capture tool. There is also done a lot of small changes, and a change to the exit of the program. The add on tool can be used as standalone as long as you keep the files in the add on folder in the same directory.

When updating the program, make sure to take a backup copy of the Audio and Video library and the play lists. The web pages will be updated with new info regarding changes in EDM2013 later this week. I am working my *** off on a new tool right now, and don't have the time to do it right now.

Have a nice day :-)

News 15.10.2013 Work Update!

I have been working on several things in EDM2013. First of all the new DVD Duplicator now is a part of the program, as a add on, second, i have started improving the screen capture tool. Now you can do selections by frame. The Video Play list has gotten a new function. Create a slide with 18 combined thumbs from the selected file that is saved inside the files folder and same filename, but with the .jpg extension. It is a part of the TV Series Library that's coming in a later version. I also do a lot of other stuff, and there will be an update released within the next few days. I almost forgot, I have started creating translations of the program. As the DVD Duplicator already has English, French and Norwegian language, those languages will also be made available for EDM2013. Starting with Norwegian. This is the part i hate the most.....

Below is a sample of the upcoming slides in Video Play list.

There will be an update released this week. Today i did get an update of the skins component i am using. If it aint much to correct in code, I will try to get it updated for the next release. (I really hope it works a little bit better than the current one I am using)

News 11.10.2013 New Add on to EDM2013 Released!

EDDR - Easy-Data DVD Duplicator is just what the name says, a DVD duplicator/ripper. It is a simple but effective tool that lets you copy/clone your DVD movies. As usual this is freeware. It can be used as an add on from EDM2013, or as a standalone product. The first release is the standalone version. But from now on this tool will be shipped with EDM2013 releases.

Below are a couple of images from the tool.

Easy-Data DVD Duplicator

Main window

As standalone product it is packed in .rar format. There are only two files. Make sure both files are in the same directory.

You can download it at our download page

News 08-10-2013 EDM2013 v. 2.2.0.1 Update!

Ok, im not perfect :-) I did forget a couple of things in last update regarding the Video Library that resulted in a .jpg error when loading covers among a few other bugs. This should now be corrected, and a few other bugs has also been fixed.

This is a minor update. If you are using any of the libraries you should update to this version.

News 04-10-2013 EDM2013 v. 2.2 Update!

Hi again. New in this version is the Video Library. This is a quite powerful library with half automatic adding of movies. You do need to have each movie in a separate folder, and place a imdb.txt file with the imdb link for the movie before adding. If you do these two things the program does the rest for you. I will get back to how to use it later today. The front page(menu) of the program is also changed. There is 4 new buttons pointing to different tools. And as usual there is some minor bug fixes. Have a Nice Weekend :-)

The help pages is updated regarding the Video Library. Make sure to read it before starting to add movies.

News 01-10-2013 EDM2013 Work Update!

The last days I have worked with the Video Library. It is new to EDM2013, and something I have wanted for a long time. I tried it out with the old Easy-Data Mediaplayer, but I never managed to get it working all right. Now things are looking quite different. Althrough there is lots of work to be done, it is starting to get as i want it to. It is quite similar to the Audio Library, in use that is.

When adding movies to the library it is half automatic. EDM2013 tries to lookup information about the movie from IMDB. I do two tasks before starting to add files to the library.

First i make sure all my movies are in separate folders. Then i make sure there are cover of the movie with exact same name as the movie itself, but with a .jpg extension. Finally I add a text file with one single line of text. And that is the html imdb code to the movie. This textfile is saved as imdb.txt and is put in the folder where the movie and cover are. It is still quite a job to add movies, but the result makes it all worth it! Anyway, i will keep working on automaticly get everything needed, but to start with, I wanted something really stable to work from, and this way it is. Next up for me to do is create the manual input form where i also will add lookup for covers and IMDB info. When i add my movies, i open a imdb page, enter the movie title, and then copy the url, create a new textfile in the movie folder named imdb.txt, open it by doubbleclicking it and paste the url into the opened imdb.txt file and save it. Then since already on the imdb page for the movie i save the cover image to the movie folder, naming it exactly as the movie name, but with extension .jpg.

For me doing it this way is pretty fast when getting used to it. When there is no cover art at imdb, i just search google.com for the movie name, and select pictures and you will always find the cover in some way.

To start playback of a movie, just double click on cover.

Below is a sample of how the Library may look. You can filter on everything, like actors, year, titles, director etc.

I hope to release an update with the video library before this week is over, but i wont promise.

EDM2013 is now able to playback video from Http and FTP. As for now the url playbutton is only available through the popup menu in the Video player part. And finally the new audio library is added. It is usefull to read the help file befor starting to use it. Below is a couple of examples of the library in use. As usual there is also lots of small changes and bugfixes. This is a major update, and should be downloaded. I am going to continue developing the Audio Library further, but all new versions will be able to read the libraries made by this version, So it is safe to start adding your music!

News 23-09-2013 Work Update!

Since last post I have almost finished the new main functions in the audio library, and network playback in video player is completed. There is so much changes overal that the new version number is going to be version 2.1.0.0. The new Audio Library is completely redesigned and is lightening fast. Still far from finished, but now it is working as it should, and future updates will not mess up your library files created with the 2.1 version. A lot has happened in the last few days, and i am now ready to add burning functionality to EDM2013. (I have finally gotten the needed components) There will be a updated release later this week.

News 19-09-2013 Work Update!

Now the first month has gone since i released Easy-Data Mediacenter. A lot of bugs has been fixed, and several new tools has been added since then. Still it is far from finished. I want to add CD/DVD burning, DVD ripping and a few other tools before it is as i want it to be. You can also expect major changes to the audio library and a new video library. This is what I am starting to work on these days. I am currently testing out a lot of similar applications to get ideas on how it should be working, or rather what it should NOT be. I do not want to use any database system. It is possible to create both audio and video library without the use of a database. When i started with the Audio Library i did use a component called AdvStringGrid. It is easy to work with, looks pretty nice, but the speed is way to slow. I thought it was reasoned my own developing skills, but it was not! I have been talking to several developers who has the same problem, and they all told me to change over to another type of stringgrid. A couple of days ago i bought the new one. The speed is fantastic. With the current grid i am using i did a test with about 25000 posts. My query took about 15 seconds to finish. I did the same test with the new grid with 300000 posts. That query took about 0,5 seconds. Whats not so good is that the new one is buildt in a completely different way, and that makes it quite a lot of work to update. But as long as it gets better than before it should be worth the time. Other future plans with EDM2013 is to enhance all the current tools. Thats not so hard, but it takes a lot of testing and is time consuming work.

One thing is certain. If you like the program as it is now, you will love it when finished :-)

News 18-09-2013 EDM2013 Update!

Ok, yet another update. Reasoned the change in FFMPEG version in last update i did manage to forget some changes needed to be done with the code. This is now fixed, and I have added a new tool. Webcam capture. With this tool you can record audio/video directly from your webcam. As it is now there are no quality choises yet, but it will be added in near future.

I have also decided to change most of the string-grids i am using in this application due to slow response times and heavy memory usage. This will be quite a lot of work, and there will be no more updates before i am finished with this.

This is a minor update. if you use any of the tools besides audio player and video player, then you should update.

News 19-08-2013 EDM2013 release!

The Easy-Data Mediaplayer has been totally rewritten and is out with a new version and name. Easy-Data Mediacenter v. 2.0 or in short EDM2013.

The new version cant really be compared to the old one. There is so much changes done. There is completely new video engine, sound engine and look. Most of the tools are updated a lot and finally there is several new tools and some old tools removed.

The best part of Easy-Data Mediacenter is that there is no longer need for codecs, no need for installation (fully portable), and a brand new audio player part that beats the shit out of most other multimediaplayers around. Using wasapi exclusive mode and floating channels EDM2013 is capable of deliver a bit perfect sound sollution.
